A while ago,
I posted about my experiences with BlogJet. At
the time, I ended up not purchasing a license because I felt like it wasn't
polished enough to make it much better than the free tools that were available.
Furthermore, Bob Yexley commented to
let me know that Sauce
Reader, a free RSS reader, also provides a blog publishing utility,
which I used for quite a while. Several weeks ago, I went back and tried
BlogJet again and was impressed at how far the application had come in just a
few months. I had convinced myself to spend the $20 to get a license. Dmitry
released the final version of BlogJet 1.5 a few
days ago with many more improvements. Along with this release came a
price increase; he doubled the price to $39.95! I feel like he has made
some major improvements to this program and it does what it's intended to do
quite well, but I am a little shocked at the price. As a result, I once again
decided that it wasn't worth the money to me and kept looking for another blog
publishing tool. Bob Yexley has come through again with another good, and
free(!), suggestion:
PostXING
by Chris Frazier. PostXING does
just about everything that I need a blog publishing tool to do, it's written in
.NET and is easy to use. Thanks to Bob for pointing this out, and thanks to
Chris for creating it!
